PadStack 48
For part one, here is the link: Part 1 Ok so last week I went through and looked at what kinds of picks teams had in the upcoming VHLM draft. Since then there has been a flurry of activity, I'll summarize the S70 draft assets: Hou - Min : Houston Recieves Min 1st, Min receives Hou 2nd Ott - Yuk : Ottawa recieves Yuk 4th Yuk - Hou : Houston recieves Yuk 3rd Min - Yuk : Yukon recieves SDM 3rd Phi - Min : Philadelphia recieves Hou 2nd, LVA 4th Phi - Hou : Houston recieves Phi 2nd This leaves teams with the following picks across the first 4 rounds: Saskatoon: 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 Mississauga: 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 Mexico City: 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 Halifax: 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 Philadelphia: 1 | 1 | 1 | 2 San Diego: 3 | 2 | 1 | 1 Yukon: 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 Ottawa: 3 | 2 | 3 | 6 Houston: 3 | 2 | 3 | 0 Minnesota: 1 | 2 | 2 | 2 Las Vegas: 0 | 2 | 2 | 2 Here are the needs for teams: Ottawa only has 3 players carried over from last season, so they will need virtually every position (they have 1 F, 1 D, and 1 G) Any position could be up for grabs, possible 1F, 1D and 1G (or F) in the first round. San Diego has 3 Forwards, 2 D, and a goalie who has 107 TPE and is adding atleast the practice facility every week, so creeping up. If they select a goalie or D I think it would be round 2 at the earliest, but who knows! Philadelphia actually has a pretty full team, perhaps they trade some of their 3rd or 4th round picks? They have 2 goalies, one at 186 TPE, so I don't see them drafting a goalie at all. They have 7 Forwards, and 5 D, so a very full roster already. I think they just take the best player available with their picks and don't worry about position until the 4th round. Yukon only has the 3rd round. They have 5 forwards, 1 D, and 1 goalie, but the goalie has not updated in a while and has low TPE, they are in the market for everything, but they will draft whoever is best with their pick, and will be using the post draft creates to fill out their team. Houston has 3 forwards. They have a ton of picks available, and will probably target a goalie and defense in the first round, maybe 2 defense depending on who is available. Minnesota has currently 4 Defense and 9 Forwards on their roster. If a good goalie is available on their first round, I think they pick that. Really the only gaping position they have open. Las Vegas has 2 Defense 6 forwards, and 1 high tpe goalie. I think they go after a D in their second round and grab a goalie with 3rd or 4th round picks. Enough of this, now let's look forward to both drafts occurring tomorrow!
