TheFlash 317
Hugh Jass has set his intentions for S70, his rookie year in the VHLM, and they are big ones. "Win a championship, win best defenseman and score 100 points", Jass said when asked what his goals were for the upcoming season. These goals should be considered lofty by any standards for multiple reasons. For one, Houston was dead last in the league last year. They had a shell of a roster, full of low level players. Of course, they took advantage of the draft and off season, acquiring some big name players since they last played. But for a team to quite literally go from worst to first? That's going to be a real challenge in a league like the VHLM. The 100 points could be interesting as well. in 23 games last season, Jass put up 26 points. That's an 81 point pace over a full season, no slouch for sure. But a select few players put up 100 points in a full season and it's even more rare for a defenseman. Jass has certainly put some improvement into his game, and the teams improved roster should boost his numbers as well, but it'll be a hard test to hit triple digits.
