Erik Summers 451
Erik Summers Makes His VHL Debut After spending two year in the VHLM, Erik Summers has been called up to play his first game for the Helsinki Titans. Summers is the highest TPE rookie this season, so he is expected to make waves. However, in his first three games, Erik's biggest contribution to the score board was in hits and penalty minutes. With six of each, it appears that Summers got in over his head a few times and had to take bad penalties to compensate for poor position play. It is yet to be seen in Summers can adjust to the fast speed of play in the VHL, but in a post-game interview, he commented that skating is his main focus in early-season training. The season is long, so there is plenty of time to turn things around for the young defenseman. Erik Summers has a lot to learn from his line-mate in Guillaume Fontenette and there isn't a better place for a rookie than learning from a veteran at his position.
