McLovin 466
Ben Hafkey has been having a stellar season to put it simply. In 45 games, Hafkey has amassed 51 points, 17 of which being goals and 34 being assists. With this performance, he's currently in the running for both the Alexander Beketov Trophy for most assists as well as the Dustin Funk Trophy for most improved player. While I can only let the sim engine determine if Hafkey wins the assist leader award, I can make a strong case for why he should win the most improved. Over Hafkey's 4 seasons in the VHL, he only turned on the jets this year. He struggled to keep his feet moving and the puck on his stick, and rarely got much ice time because of it in 2 1/2 seasons with Vancouver before being traded for ACL TEAR. After he swapped to Center, he fixed basically everything wrong about his game and has become this incredible two-way forward Helsinki has now. Not to mention, if he continues his pace, he'll amass more points this year than the rest of his career combined in almost every stat. If that doesn't give him most improved, I don't know what does. I rest his case. #HafkeyForFunk fonziGG 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/77374-is-hafkey-finally-good/ Share on other sites
