jRuutu 2,464
Always interesting to wonder what kind of careers the soon to be drafted players will have, could some even make it to the hall of fame? I think one of the players in that category is Roque Davis. Currently playing in San Diego, he is leading the league in points with 154 points in 70 games - as a defender! 118 of those 154 points is assists. He is one of the best puck-moving defenders we have seen maybe ever in VHLM. He makes it look easy, always seems to be making the right decisions. VHL hockey and VHLM hockey are of course different worlds, but there is no denying the potential and talent. He is almost guaranteed first overall pick in the upcoming draft and when Davos is fairly surely picking first overall - is that a match made in heaven? When thinking about the hall of fame, it´s important to play on a high level right from the start, Davis is moving up to the VHL right after the draft, so there might not be too dramatic changes in Davos in such a short time. Looking at it right now, I think Davis will get a big role in the team and in that way get an optimal situation to use his offensive abilities right away. Different thing totally if Davos or whatever team picks him can offer him enough support to put up a hall of fame level seasons, but Davis is an extremely talented defender who has all the tools to be a hall of fame defender.
