Hugh Jass played his last game as a member of the Houston Bulls this week, his club being swept 4-0 by the Minnesota Storm. The next day, he was the last Bull left in the room on locker clean-out day, and we managed to get a few words from him before he departed the arena for the final time.

”It’s pretty devastating. Coming to Houston last year, seeing the team that Frostbeard was putting together, I thought we would go all the way. Unfortunately there were some other really good teams this year and the puck luck just didn’t go our way”.

Jass leaves the Bulls organization as it’s top all time scorer, scoring 159 points in 95 games. He is also 2nd in assists 2nd in plus minus and 4th in shots blocked.

”Thats something I’ll never forget. I’m not sure how long my numbers will be up there, but to have the chance to come here and play the way I did, that’s going to stay with me forever. Probably could have scored more, but we got a lot of talent mid season and the scoring spread out after that.”

On his draft thoughts, Jass had this to say;

“Just being in the conversation as one of the top picks is special. It doesn’t matter to me where I go, I’ll be going there and working my ass off to make an impact”
