CALGARY - Bromances are very common in hockey. Especially at the higher levels. From Seguin/Benn, Crimson/Nguyen, to the ever famous Gally bromance between Gallagher and Galchenyuk, there seems to be at least one bromance in every team. That trend has seemed to continue as the rookie Jacques Lafontaine has recently formed a close bond with the captain of the Calgary Wranglers, Sigard Gunnar who just played in his third season in the league and is playing in the playoffs as the Wranglers are in the finals. The two are close friends even though they really just met and it’s exciting to think about how much more this relationship could develop in the future.

“Yeah, Sig [Gunnar] is a great guy and just an awesome dude to be around. I couldn’t ask for a better friend and teammate. He’s been a great locker room presence and arguably one of the most fun players I have ever played with. The guy works hard and while he might not be the most talented player, he’s an absolute workhorse and is a big part of this team. Love ya Sig.” Jacques commented during a press conference.
