Kesler 1,514
Aight so I gotta do a page long paragraph on how envy relates to act 4 in Julius Caesar.. Act 4 is so small so this is all I got.. If any of you could help me that would be great! The theme of envy is scene throughout the play Julius Caesar written by William Shakespeare. But throughout most of act IV envy is seen multiple times between the main characters: Cassius, Brutus, Antony, Octavius and Lepidus. At the beginning of act IV Antony, Octavius and Lepidus want to avenge Caesar by killing the conspirators: Brutus and Cassius. “These men shall die; their names are pricked” (IV, I, 1) said by Antony in anger as the three men gather. Cassius is already envy of Caesar because they were once equal but now Caesar has gone on to be much more successful. This is one of the reasons Cassius joins the conspirators to kill Caesar. At the start of act IV Cassius arrives at the army camps with his men and goes to talk to Brutus. Cassius calls outs Brutus “Most noble brother, you have done me wrong” (IV, iii, 37) meaning Brutus has taken bribes and Cassius does not agree with this though he does need the money. In act IV though Cassius is still envy of Brutus; indeed Cassius does not have any money and Brutus did “send to [Cassius]….certain sums of gold” (IV, iii, 69-70). Cassius responds by saying “I denied you not” (IV, iii, 83) showing he has too much honor to take gold from Brutus. Honor is another form of envy shown in a different way; Cassius also shows this towards Brutus in other acts convincing Brutus he killed Caesar. But he did it out of jealously and didn’t have the honor to tell Brutus the truth. Cassius then pulls out his dagger and tell Brutus to kill him if he is such a terrible man. Guest
Depends on what type you want. Generally you want one with a crunch, some prefer to add croutons. I personally am a fan of one without croutons.
