SlapshotWrangler 864
SASKATOON - Ryuu Crimson and Jacques Lafontaine were both stars for the Saskatoon Wild. While Ryuu isn't the most memorable Wild player, he was still well-known. Everybody remembers the hockey version of "the generation of miracles" (a little reference for people like @Sonnet ) that took the hockey world by storm when they had their historical season. Jacques Lafontaine was the goalie that was backstopping for that season. Even though Ryuu has never, and probably will never, played goalie, he decided to help out Jacques Lafontaine. He was not teaching Jacques Lafontaine how to be a goalie. Jacques Lafontaine already knows a lot about that. "I decided to help him learn how we think when we are shooting. I dunno. He's a smart kid. He might be able to make use of our tendencies and maybe find some patterns. All I know is that he was thankful for the opportunity." How did they meet? And why Jacques? "Oh, we both decided to relax at Saskatoon. We met up and chatted and it led to this. That's all."
