Lewis Dawson has so far had a VHL professional career that he would like to forget. Dawson currently has two assists in 12 games and isn't really looked at as an option for scoring. Dawson centres the second line and with his limited production, he could see a demotion to third line duties if he isn't careful. It's tough being a rookie sometimes and Dawson needs to learn the ins and outs of the league. It helps that Lewis has some great veteran leadership on his roster to help him in times like these where he is struggling greatly. With some fine tuning and some more practice in the team drills, Dawson could develop into a solid second line player. Only time will tell whether Dawson learns, but hard work is what will help Dawson succeed and so far he feels he has been doing some of the right actions to pave the way for a solid career. Phil Marleau has been a big help to Dawson and has continued to give advice on things to work on in practice.
