Nate Telker takes big strides forward

Telker has come a long way ever since playing his very first VHLM game for the Mississauga Hounds. He's slowly shifting into a core player for the Menace, with 18 points in his first 26 games this season. Telker has also taken a big step up on hits laid, but its costed him a fair bit of time in the box. "I've taken a big physical step up this season, but I know I have to try and keep it cleaner or it'll end up hurting the team" said Telker. But Physicality isn't the only thing Telker has been working on. "Stick-handling is what I've started to work on a lot more lately, it really helps out in games and I think its starting to show more." It may be a step up for Telker, but the Menace are finding themselves surrounded by hungry teams, and hope to make it to 1st before the end of the season.
