Thomas Moore Opens Up to the Press

Ladies and Gentlemen, today we are here as young eligible VHLm and VHL prospect Thomas Moore has requested to talk to you all. It felt like a perfect time in order to get a few things off his chest and follow up after a unique partial season he had with Mexico City.

 

Thomas Moore approaches the podium and begins to speak. "Ladies and Gentlemen of the press. I am glad you have taken the time out of your busy schedules to allow me this opportunity to talk to you today. I must admit I have been hiding a major secret that I have been hiding my entire life and I feel now is the time to share that secret and to explain why I held this secret for quite some time to be honest." Moore breathes a heavy sigh of relief as he sits down on the stage up close with the press. "I'm going to tell it straight up and be honest with you. You were here when we played such terrible hockey and I feel maybe part of my terrible defensive play was because I kept hiding a huge secret since I moved to Canada. Yes, that is correct ladies and gentlemen. I was not born in Canada. I was born in Moscow, Russia and then a few days later after the doctors had determined it was safe. My parents had then been assigned to Canada to work in a sleeper cell, you see. My parents are former KGB and they came to Canada waiting to be recalled and they never were." Moore continues after taking a short pause. "They came to Canada and took on new identities my father being name Michael and my mother name Kristen where they named me Thomas just so we can fit in without anyone knowing. My parents were however killed in a recent accident and with added protection provided by the league... It is time to announce that my real name and one I would like to proudly be referred to moving forward is.... Viktor Alexei Kamenov.  

 

Yes, ladies and gentlemen of the press. I lived this life for 18 years and now is the time that I shed my old image and come to terms with this revelation and the first thing that would help me in being able to do this is my long time American friend and professional ball player JJ Windsor. He sat down with me and essentially told me "Kid, it's time to you be you. You need to honor your folks and the life they gave up for you in order to get a better life as Russia was not an easy place to live. It's your time to now shine as the Russian you are and make sure you do not forget it."  

 

Kamenov continues, "Before I decided to make this announcement I wanted to make sure I talked to the league and they gave me the clearance for this request yesterday and we wait an appropriate time where I can get the paper work and update my file with them. I want to thank them for allowing me to reveal this shocking truth and allow me to finally live free. Thank you. and good night."
