As the sun sets on a disappointing end to his VHLM career, Xavier leFlamant {Zah-vee-eh le-Flah-MON-tt} packs up his locker in Philadelphia, where he's called home for two years, and orders an Uber Black for the short hop down to DC, where he is set to start his next chapter as a DC Dragon. What made leFlamant's career so disappointing? He was one of the highest TPE players on a Founder's cup contender, but for some reason just couldn't crack the top of the scoring lists in the VHLM. On top of that, he was part of a heart breaking first round loss to the Las Vegas Aces, a team that his team had absolutely dominated in the regular season, without posting many assists whatsoever. Xavier is a playmaker, a showboat, but when the lights shined brightest, he just came up short.

What was the positives of spending the extra season in the VHLM if there was no scoring record, no playoff success, no individual achievement, no team achievement to show for it? These questions will keep Xavier up at night for seasons to come until he feels that he's overcome the doubters. The pros we can look at, are his first shot at team leadership, playing on the first line, knowing what it's like to have teammates depend on you... but still falling short. We can see this as Xavier having something to prove, something to not only himself, but to Enorama, the GM who decided to take a chance on this second generation player. Montgomery's career was similarly disappointing at times, but was able to give small shining moments, and I hope at least to have that with Xavier.

Negatives with this player, he's too confident for his own good. and you hate to see it. Thinks he knows it all, and is in for a big reality check next season. Who knows how well a welfare player can expect to be these days? The VHL is a whole lot different than he remembers, and he's sure in for a wakeup call. Joining a team like DC which wants to stay competitive next season, he has to be ready to face challenges he failed this year, will he? That's what we're all so excited to see!

As a whole leFlamant hopes to make the most of his VHL entry level contract, and put the mistakes from the VHLM behind him. He knows that Flamingos can fly, but they have their weaknesses, they're too confident. Pink? That's not an easy color to camouflage, but they play to their strengths, sort of like Xavier will have to do in these coming years!
