Mann Drafted, Lynx Still OK, Only 150 Words Lets Try

The Season 72 VHL and VHLM are already underway.  Despite the excitement of a new season, we must recap what happened with the Season 72 draft.  Ottawa Lynx defenseman Defenz Mann fell to the middle of the second round.  To the utmost surprise of "VHL Hedgehog"  Riga GM, he selected Mann with the 18th pick.  Mann led the VHLM in plus/minus, last season, was top five for defenseman in points, and league-wide in assists.  With all of these accolades, it was clear Defenz belonged in the first round.  The only issue is most scouts believe he has a low ceiling and may already be playing to his potential.

 

 

Back to the Ottawa Lynx, the defending Founders Cup Champions, can they repeat?.  The Lynx are trying to fight off the other eleven minor league teams for a double-dip.  The season has been up and down after eight games the team sits at 4-4.  Things are too early to tell, but the Lynx should at least make the playoffs this season.
