DollarAndADream 3,356
Not As Stone As You Thought This season for Stone Wolski marked his first as a starting goaltender. With all the accolades that JB Rift had over his career, and performing so well for the DC Dragons, Stone Wolski definitely had some shoes....err, skates to fill. While going into the season, Wolski looks better at season's start than JB Rift did at last season's start, but things have been shaky so far. In DC's first 8 games, Wolski has 3 wins. This is a team that many expect to be a contender this season, so Wolski starting off this rocky is not ideal. His most notable wins thus far are a 29 save shutout against the Toronto Legion, and a big 7-2 win against the Vancouver Wolves where he saved 34 of 36. The third win was in a 6-4 victory against the New York Americans, where he saved 27 of 31. So basically, Wolski's 3 wins have come in 3 different fashions. A shutout, a great performance, and a win where his team bailed him out with 6 goals. All 3 of those wins actually came in a row, and their 2 most recent games today were losses. If Wolski wants to make a name for himself in the VHL and if his team wants to be at the top this season, he will need to be much better.
