oilmandan 688
What can I say, I’ve had it good so far. I was drafted in the first round by a good American team, that had just won another championship and is poised to win again this year. There’s also almost no pressure on me to light it up as a rookie, which is great as I’m busy slashing ankles. Seattle has been great for me, and I’ve been great for Seattle too. It’s a very progressive city and I can let my metrosexual side out when I want, and I can legally tend to my side business, Tegridy Farms. My family and Towlie made the move up with me, as I chase one of my dreams, and are mostly settling in nicely. Recently a blockbuster went up for sale and I purchased it with my rookie contract. Halloween is coming up, so hopefully business “fires up”. Playing hockey has been very rewarding. I get plenty of opportunity to see the country and travel to places I never thought I’d go to. Even after the war with Canada though, those beady eyed, flappy headed Canucks still make my blood boil. Originally I was unsure how my talents would transfer from the VHLM to the VHL, and so far I think I’ve held my own. While certainly not a candidate for rookie of the year, I’ve done a respectable job helping out my team as best I’m able. The speed and skill of the pro league has been a huge adjustment for me. Luckily I have some great teammates to help me along the way. Recently I played in the world junior championship as well, representing the good old USA. God damn it feels good putting on the Stars and Stripes and playing for your country. Unfortunately we only won silver though. Something about Bono being on team Europe and wouldn’t allow them to be number 2. Still it felt good to bring some American pain and punishment to the other hockey nations. Looking forward to the rest of my career is very exciting. We have a good group of players and I think we can win the championship several times over. We have a genius GM and amazing players at every position, which makes us hard to contend with. Even with expansion coming up, I’m not worried about being unprotected, I’ll only play in the USA, and I’ve had my fill of LA from my singing days. So Seattle will be my home for the next foreseeable future Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/85278-randy-marsh-rookie-experience-in-his-own-words/ Share on other sites
