Nygren Anticipating Expansion Draft

We are only about an hour away from the VHL Expansion draft, set to go down at the VHLs very own headquarters in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. 

 

Several notable players due to be selected braved the journey to the flattest province in Canada home of the league HQ by longtime old simmer Jardys orders. Among those players was the recently candid Markus Nygren. Nygren has already spoken about wanting out of Seattle, so we caught up with him to see his thoughts on expansion.

Yeah I'm excited to be here. It's rare you see a league, especially one this size expand by 4 teams at once. I mean this was an 8 team league not that long ago. That said, yeah of course I hope I get selected. I think the league added some real quality GMs and teams and would feel honored to play for any of them. I know a few of my Seattle teammates left unprotected also make compelling cases, so with one player allowed selected per team maybe I don't go. However with the recent trade and protection of Ray Shields out, I feel I'm probably young enough yet to be one of the considered to be taken. Ultimately though I'm just happy to be involved in this process, should be a fun draft.
