Spaz 297
With the season ending in the worst way we could imagine, I had to cancel my ticket to see my mother in Italy. This allowed me to focus on training and becoming an overall better player for this upcoming season. When I'm not on the ice I've been hanging out with the team getting to know them and building that team chemistry. Particularly with Valtteri Vaakanainen since I spent most of the season playing alongside him except a few times when our coach wanted to test me out on the second line. I think that's what I've been lacking my whole career because I spend most of my offseason with my parents and then an intense grind to get me back into my true hockey form. The regular season as a whole was decent for me after having one of my worst if not the worst hockey debut of my career. I had a career high 19 goals, 17 assists for 36 points, a +/- of 6 and the highlight of my season 7 game winning goals. I started the season off strong but as nearing the end I felt myself slacking, and then when the playoffs came around I fell apart only having one assist in our six games against our biggest rivals Moscow Menace. Who would eventually get swept by the eventual champs Riga Reigns which if anything I can say was a big relief to watch. I decided to focus my whole off season on the ice and hopefully come up with something new to help me produce more this season. I'm going to have to step it up as we lost some good veterans to retirement this off season. I want to prove I was worth a first round pick back in the season 70 draft. I believe we can still have the chance to compete as long as we start and finish the season off strong. The Titans will have three new faces joining us for the season. Those names include goalies Samuel Ross and Zamboni Driver, as well as defender Spencer Elsby. It will be exciting to see what they can do and I hope I can help them out if they need any mentorship from my experience in the VHL. I also believe next season we could see some talent join us as we picked up wingers Patrik Laine and Oh Sens, and in my opinion so far the biggest steal of the draft, goalie Calvin Harvey. We had more draft picks but management decided to trade them off for another pick next draft. Helsinki looks to be a team that can keep the shelves stocked up to replace any retirements or unexpected exits of roster players. I would love to stay and write but I need to get back on the ice and get some more work in to prepare for the season coming next week. I'm excited to prove some people wrong this season. I could be someone that is considered for most improved as I should be playing top six minutes all season.
