If a casual VHLM fan was reviewing the league leaders today, they would notice that a defenseman is currently leading the league in points and assists. You read that correctly, a defenseman is leading the league in scoring, and by quite a few points as we have just now passed the half-way point of the season. That defenseman name is Riley Knight Gee, a Season Seventy-Two draft choice of the Prague Phantoms

Gee who now has 185 VHLM games, all with Houston, is looking like a man possessed on the ice with the Bulls this season. Gee enjoyed an impressive eighty-one-point season last year with the Bulls, but even that impressive performance did not prepare the league for his offensive outburst. Gee currently holds a fourteen-point lead over the next closest player, Pietro Angellini in the race for the Ethan Osborne Trophy for the VHLMs top scorer. With over half the season already in the books, all eyes are now on Gee to be the next VHLM defenseman to lead the league in points, joining the likes of Roque Davies and Danny DeYeeto who did it in back to back seasons.
