                                                      Last night in Moscow, the Menace held on to win over the visiting Chicago Phoenix 4-3 The win for Moscow makes their record 38-23-9 and in third place in the European Conference. The loss for Chicago was their 48th in what has been a difficult season for the expansion franchise.

                                                     Moscow got out early, with a Lucas Brandt goal at 2:06 of the 1st, and his 34th of the season, assisted by Oscar Lagesson and Henrik Zoiderberg. Brandt waisted no time with scoring #35, 5 minutes later, again set up by Lagesson and Zoiderberg at 7:44 for a 2-0 Moscow lead. Adam Syreck banged home his 32nd from Khalabib Stiopic and Squirrely Dan to get Chicago on the board. 10 seconds later, Lucas Brandt (36) completed his 1st period hat trick set up again by Lagesson and Alex Letang to give Moscow the 3-1 lead after 1 period.

                                                 Moscow continued to pull away early in the 2nd period when Henrik Zoiderberg tipped in a shot by Remy Moreau for his 35th goal of the season. Also assisting on  Zoiderbergs goal was once again Oskar Laggesson his 4th assist of the night. Adam Syreck struck back 3 minutes later with his 33rd and Frans Eller scored a minute later, his 16th, from Stiopic to cut into the lead and make the  score 4-3.

                                               That would be all the scoring in this one. Thorvald Gunnarsson stopped 19 of 22 shots for the win. After the game, Menace extended Vin Calia's contract for 2 seasons at 3million per.
