CALGARY - Game 7. This is it. The final game. Winner takes all. You can’t afford to make mistakes and when you do, they can cost you the entire season. But if you can hold on, then you survive for another round. Jacques Lafontaine and the Calgary Wranglers are no strangers to game 7s. In last season’s playoffs alone, 2 of the 3 series the Wranglers played in went to 7 games. And both times, they won. One of the game 7s was against Toronto while the other was against New York. They won both times to make it to the Continental Cup Finals but sadly lost to a hot Greg Eagles and the Riga Reign. Now in the first round of this year’s playoffs, they won another game 7 against the New York Americans. Last year, the Calgary Wranglers had barely beat the New York Americans in game 7 but this year they showed dominance as they ended up winning 6-2.
