Vasteras Struggling on Power-play

Vasteras defenseman Lauris Prikulis takes a shot on the power-play

VASTERAS, Sweden - In an otherwise very successful season for the Vasteras Iron Eagles, a lone blemish currently remains on the team's play so far this year. That blemish being, the Iron Eagles' PP play. After 53 games played, the Iron Eagles currently sit 2nd to last in the entire league in terms of PP percentage (12.55%), only better than the Seattle Bears (11.30%). Rather than look to the outside for an answer (trade), the team has opted to look within, discussing items such as placing a forward on the point on one of the lines, or switching some forwards between the 1st+2nd units. Should the Vasteras Iron Eagles want to be able to succeed in the playoffs this season, they must improve their special teams in order to take advantage of the man-advantage. Currently, that is what separates Vasteras from the likes of teams such as Davos and New York.
