ROOKIE745 604
A new season has started for the hockey world, the VHL and VHLM teams are once back at it for a chance to win the grand prize. With the start of any new season there is always renewed hope for the team, that this year will be the year! However for some teams that hope can disappear quickly at the beginning of the season. Such is the case with the Toronto Legion. 6 games in and the team is 1-4-1, not a great start for a team that did make some improvements in the off season with bringing in more defense and offense. However nothing seems to be clicking right now for the team. Hextall hasn't been able to steal any games so far and in fact his having a rough start, odd considering his last 2 seasons seemed to show he had great starts to the season and would struggle near the end. Hextall currently sits with a .894 save percentage and 3.79 goals against average in all 6 games he has started for the Legion. It's still early enough in the season for the Legion to turn it around but the more looses they take now the deeper the whole they have to dig themselves out of. We were able to catch up with Hextall after game 6. "Ya this isn't the start of the season we we're hoping for, feels like the struggles of the end of last season has carried over for us but I believe we'll figure it out, there's no way we are gonna sit at the bottom of league, at the very least I'm not gonna let that happen" (word count 276) Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/91483-toronto-hextall-off-to-a-rough-start/ Share on other sites
