Gregg Stallion’s life revolves around two things: hockey and alcohol. When he isn’t playing hockey, he is drinking something alcoholic. When he is not drinking alcohol that must mean he is doing something hockey related. This goes beyond the day and into the night where these two passions permeate every essence of him even in his dreams.

One such night Stallion dreamed about a team. A dream team if you will and on that team was a cast of characters that encompassed his two passions in life.

Stallion dreamed about a team, The Booze Valley Pale Whales. They were coached by the legendary Captain Morgan who had led many other teams in the Alcohol Hockey League (AHL) to the glory of the Golden Pint. After years of a frustrating rebuild Stallion dreamed as the team dominated the season and the finally were able to win the coveted Golden Pint.

This team featured some of the top players in the league’s history coming together to form the great team that the league had ever seen. From the beginning they were the favorites and while the path was not smooth, but rather bitter they emerged victorious against the rival Whisky River Shots.

The stars of Gregg Stallion’s new favorite team were as follows.

Center: Mart Eenie. The classy gentlemen of the team, he is known to be an avoider of fights rather than an instigator and lead the team with poise and respect. He was the easy choice for the league’s most valuable patron and from the start of the season to the end he completely dominated the league leading in both chugs and downs.

Right Wing: Brew Jackman. During the offseason, the team lacked a top winger that could play alongside Eenie and made a huge offseason splash in acquiring Jackman to play alongside Eenie. Jackman immediately found instant chemistry with Eenie and they became one of the deadliest duos in the entire league. Goalies would blackout in fear at seeing the two stars skating towards them.

Left Wing: Ale Pacino. A top line in the AHL is not complete without someone who can clear a bar with their fists and Pacino certainly brought that for the Pale Whales. He dominated the league being the only person to reach triple digits in non-alcohol induced blackouts. While physically he dominated he also played a vital role on the top line with Eenie and Jackman and would stand in front of the net just like the legendary Corey Perrier of the now defunct NAHL (Non-Alcoholic Hockey League.)

Defense: Scotch Meadermayer. The team’s heroic captain, one of the grizzled veterans of the league who was nearing the end of his career and still desperately chasing after the Golden Pint. While many players had left the Pale Whales during the many difficult seasons the team had in the rebuild. Meadermayer stayed with them, endearing himself to the fans and organization. Many tears were wept when the team captain skated to commissioner Brandy Porter and lifted the Golden Pint amid the crowd chanting ‘Scotch! Scotch!’

Defense: Ruman Broski. Broski brought the fun to the team and was well known for his weird sense of style and love of practical jokes. He was the leagues top offensive defensemen by a mile and formed a near unstoppable tandem with Meadermayer. He hosted the Pale Whales after party when the team won the Golden Pint and even weeks after the party some people are still hung over.

Goaltender: Arnold ‘The Keg’ Schwarzenkegger. Throughout the entire season nothing could stop the hulking behemoth that was in the Pale Whales net. The Keg lead the league in Teetotalers forcing team to leave the game without getting a single chug against him. He was the first goalie to ever win the Tee Kila Memorial award in a unanimous vote.

Now, every night that Gregg Stallion goes to bed he is excited to dream about his favorite dream team and root from them throughout the night to win another Golden Pint.
