DoktorFunk 810
Jolly Greene Giant Scouting Report "He is one of the best players I've seen pass through here in a long time. Big, physical body. He can score, he can block, he can hit, and he has an amazing hockey IQ, even though he may not have an amazing regular IQ." - Scott Greene, General Manager of the Ottawa Lynx The Giant shakes hands with a smaller man PROS Two-Way Ability - The Giant has defined himself as the best two-way defenseman in the VHLM this season. He possesses an amazing scoring ability, having notched 13 goals and 30 assists in 52 games at the time of writing. The Giant is not only good at setting people up and scoring goals himself, but his defensive ability is the best in Ottawa. The Giant has 110 shots blocked, 204 hits, and only 76 penalty minutes to show for it. Because of his two-way style of play, The Giant has proven himself to be able to fit into any slot on the Ottawa lineup and make a difference. Physical - Let's not beat around the bush; The Giant is enormous. Over seven feet tall and well over three-hundred pounds, The Giant is quite the imposing presence on the ice. More importantly, he knows when to hit and when not to hit. His discipline with his physical game is very important, as it could be very easy for a player of his size to not know his own strength and incur quite a few penalty minutes. Skating- The Giant is very fast. He regularly skates at close to 30 miles per hour. This allows him to play anywhere on the ice and not get caught in a bad position defensively. It also allows him to hit a lot harder and more effectively, meaning he can control any portion of the ice. CONS Intelligence- The Giant has a stunted brain, and may be difficult to coach as a result. Luckily, he is a hockey natural and seems to have a latent ability with the sport. Just don't expect him to come up with complicated strategies or ideas. Fighting - The Giant, surprisingly, is not a fighter. Despite his size, he is fairly gentle in this regard, preferring to settle it through play and not scrapping. He cannot reliably win contests for his team, and his fighting performances are unlikely to inspire the bench to play better. Experience - This refers not only to hockey, but also in the world. The Giant is only 11 years old, and has the maturity of one. Despite his natural hockey talent, he isn't very experienced and can't be expected to have a veteran's mindset.
