The second year London United franchise is improving - albeit maybe not as quickly as people would like - but improving nevertheless.

Through 62 games this season, London has amassed 21 wins, 34 losses, and 7 overtime or shootout losses for 49 points, with 158 goals scored and 222 against. None of those are great numbers, but compare their season 73 numbers to those for the current season: a 23-47-2 record for 48 points, with 182 goals for and an even 300 against.

With 10 games left to play, it seems feasible that the United at least match their win total from last season, and can surpass their goals for total by scoring 2.5 goals a game. It is safe to say that the tightened up defense will not allow 78 goals in those same 10 games.

Similarly, winger The Terrible Trivium has seen a slight increase in production. He trails his rookie goal total by one - 34 last season compared to 33 with 10 games remaining - but has already passed his rookie numbers in assists, points, shots, hits, power play goals, and game-winning goals, putting up a nice total of 69 points with 10 to play.

It's not the season London faithful had hoped for, but it's another step in the right direction.
