Onde Sandstrom is excited for Hits Total

"I'm just trying to stay steadfast oh getting my hits total up to 60 during these playoffs. In 4 games, I have 13 hits and I told ya'll I was going to deliver when it came to being a physical presence. Sure, I'm shooting the puck more often however I think thats based on how much I'm catching the Dragons in their own zone. I need to take advantage of the minutes I'm getting and contribute in other ways now. Whether its goals or assists, I know I'm producing a role thats needed here in Vancouver during this series and I hope to maintain that and add some more.

Coach has been making me work more on the defensive zone and using my stick to disrupt plays. It's interesting because he's getting me to play defense while on the opponents half of the ice. The second we lose possession, I'm hounding for the puck. I'm ready to make a pinch and hit to win that puck back and it's those tiny details that we all need to be doing in order to win the game. Coach has really elevated my game and there is hopes I can push forward into a scoring monster."
