Caitlyn Catowize's story Pt.2

Caitlyn Catowize had been asked to join a team as a free agent! She couldn’t have been happier! She literally jumped for joy when she got the call. She had the opportunity to gain experience before she even got drafted onto a minor league team. She could show them what she could do!

Keeping up with minor league players proved to be quite a bit more challenging than keeping up with college kids. These guys were truly fast, and strong, and…kind of huge. Caitlyn was determined not to be intimidated. She practiced hard and when gameday came she was ready, even though she was only on the 4^th line for the Halifax 21^st, she was determined to make her presence felt. She found it hard though to make an impact when she only got about a minute of ice time. Nevertheless, she went into the next game ready to show the world that she could compete! About a minute of ice time later she sat back down frustrated again.
 

The season ended in a disappointing loss in the playoffs for Halifax to an underdog team and Caitlyn never got even 2 minutes of ice time in a game. She understood it, she did. She wasn’t even a rookie yet technically, it was understandable that she was going to get the minimal amount of time to play. Damned if it didn’t frustrate her that she wasn’t able to make a difference though. Now all she had to add to her resume was some time skating around on the ice and nothing accomplished of note during that time. It probably wouldn’t help her draft stock much, if at all, she thought. Caitlyn was nervously looking forward to the draft and wondering what the future held.
