Jolly Greene Giant is excited to be drafted, although where he ends up during the season is a mystery. "Will he stay down in the VHLM or not?" is the question on everyone's minds. We reached out to the Giant for comment, but all we got was a surly "ho, ho, ho." Will the Giant stay down or go up? There are advantages to both in this reporter's eyes.

Staying in the VHLM

IF the Giant were to stay in the VHLM, he'd certainly have a good season and would go high near the top of the draft order. An elite defenseman during his first season, the Giant could certainly boost his numbers and have an amazing season. Also, he would be able to have more of an impact in his rookie season, having more experience to his game when he finally makes his major league debut. However, he would lose valuable career time in the VHL in which to make his legacy or compete for a Continental Cup.

Going Up to the VHL

If the Giant goes up to the VHL, there's plenty of upsides. He would most likely go to an expansion team like London or Los Angeles, but there's always room for anything to happen and it's not impossible for a more established team to trade up for him. The expansion franchises are exciting as there are many records looking to be broken and he can be part of a team that is in it's infancy. The more established teams would be nice because of the chance of immediate success. This success, however, would most likely not involve the Giant, as the questions of whether he would have enough experience or not is hotly debated.
