"It's a shock to the system, that's for sure," London United winger The Terrible Trivium told my after hearing of the two major trades that the young franchise made over the weekend while continuing his offseason training in Paris, France. "But maybe that's what we need right now."

United General Manager McWolf made a big splash when he executed two separate trades. In total, London shipped out three 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3 round pick. Coming back to London are physical center Chad Magnum, defenseman Erik Killinger, defenseman Hugh Jass, and a 1st round pick.

"I don't think it's set in stone that I'll be playing with Magnum," Trivium added, "but it's fun to dream about the damage that the two of us would be able to inflict. I've been saying all along that year three of this franchise is when we make the playoffs, and all three of these guys will definitely help."

Magnum notched 89 points with Toronto last season. Killinger 90. Jass 87. That's a lot of offense for a team that struggled to put the puck in the net. There's no question that this makes London a better team today, but was the price too steep? Only time will tell.
