Jolline 13
Eeli Rantanen was born in Turku but was quickly shipped to Tesoma when his parents divorced roughly when he was just 7 years old. Having played since he could walk it was obviously a massive setback to leave his favourite club, TPS, to join a club in Tampere. Tappara and Ilves were the obvious candidates and he had his tryouts to both teams but he didnt like the locker room atmosphere there. He was bullied for being from a city that the locals hated. Management wanted him in both of the teams but he refused. After a long search he landed in KooVee, a lesser known team with a promising youth program. In his first season there he faced difficulties in adapting to new teammates and their style of play. He didnt do much for a few years because he "didnt feel like doing so" - but when he hit age 14 and really started to give a damn again he met Patrik Laine Who he went to high school with. He had no idea of him playing hockey before their first outdoors gym classes where he saw him playing hockey properly. They befriended quickly and started to hang out more and more getting Eeli more and more excited about hockey for the first time in ages. When he heard that Patrik played for Tappara, he immediately switched teams In their first season together at Tappara, they scored a whopping 94 goals in Total from the same line. Laine scored 51 and Eeli 43 in 45 games. Sadly they didnt make the playoffs as other guys from the team were absolute garbage, playing there because they were forced to. Second season the guys changed to much older player class and it paid off. It was their glory days as they scored 164 goals in total, Laine scoring 67 because of an injury and Eeli scoring the rest 97, more than doubling his goals in a season. From there on it was crystal clear that Eeli was a prodigy to look upon. Laine was drafted to Winnipeg Jets to the NHL but Rantanen missed a draft because of his size. Apparently 170centimeters is not enough for the NHL, but still players like Nathan Gerbe play there. From there on Eeli hated Nathan from the bottom if his heart. Instead Eeli would pursue a different league, VHL, starting from the minors. He was picked up by Mississauga fays after the draft was concluded and is looking to countinue scoring like an absolute animal there.
