Toast 887
The most recent VHLM Dispersal Draft had talent throughout. Everyone is excited to see how the the top picks will turn out but at the Miami Marauders camp things are getting interesting as 77th-overall pick Phoenix Dawson from the Toast Player Agency seems to be on pace to break the top 6 on the team as early as this season. The S76 prospect wasn't expected to mean much for any team coming straight out of the QMJHL, but the two-way center seems determined to do whatever it takes to earn ice time with the team. The young player has been working at getting his offensive skills up to par with the top talent on the team and while it may not compare to the likes of third-overall pick McJake, Dawson appears to be on pace to be a solid part of Miami going into the future. Earning a steady cap of 12 practice hours is important for any prospect looking to make an impression on general managers and things seemed off for Dawson early with a few short weeks. Now it seems that the prospect has no problem dedicating the time required since the draft and it's possible that we are seeing strong progression of a top pick in the S76 Entry Draft and a future first-line center for Miami.
