Gustav 6,407
Yeah, I had a much, much better player render for my Prospect Scouting Report. Deal with it. It's what every kid growing up skating on ponds and on driveways and in local rinks dreams of--playing professionally and hearing one's name called in front of tens of thousands (or zero, in this day and age). Taro Tsujimoto, after a thunderous run through the minors, finds himself set up for a rookie campaign with Davos, and he's got quite a bit to prove as the top-ranked player in the largest draft in league history. One out of seven forwards on the Davos roster (and easily the newest, Vlad Imir is from S73 and the only other rostered forward still on a rookie contract), Tsujimoto finds himself sixth out of the seven in TPA (though given earn rate, he could possibly end up fifth or even fourth by the end of the season). With the most potential the Dynamo have seen since at least the arrival of SS Hornet three seasons back, he's very willing to make a mark, and should end up in at least the Hall of Pretty Decent. This season, don't expect Taro to do a whole lot. The seven-forward issue puts Davos in a position where it's going to be impossible for every forward to put up maximum ice time, and current low-TPE status combined with GM selflessness should leave this draft's golden boy out of the sunlight for at least this season (barring a mighty act of sim luck). Playing at center and having the team's second-best face-off rating does do him some favors, though, as he could end up getting the edge for the possession game in some situations--so don't look for him to be completely and totally buried in the lineup. As far as career goals go, let's be honest--with a prospect as good as this, no player agent should shoot for anything short of the moon. Tsujimoto has all the tools for (theoretical) success, and with a still-young team around him and an up-and-coming potential franchise-caliber goalie in Kunibuni UnGuri in the future role on the back end, it's entirely possible that he could be one of the driving forces behind moving Davos up and out of the ranks of VHL purgatory and into the land of legitimate long-term success. He's aiming for perennial all-star territory, first-ballot induction, a few cups along the way, you know the deal. Think @Beaviss but good.
