Commissioner Beketov 9,100 Posted June 30, 2014 Commissioner Share Posted June 30, 2014 Two things happened for Jackson Miller this past week. The first, and more immediately noticeable, is that his team (Moscow) eliminated the Bern Royals in 4 games to move onto the VHLM Conference final against the Turku Outlaws. The second is less obvious but a major stepping stone for the budding superstar. As of this past week Jackson Miller has officially surpassed the VHLM "cap" for player practice hours of 175. Miller currently sits at 181 with the playoffs, an end-season boost, and a lengthy off-season before his VHL career even gets started. In discussing the accomplishment, Jackson stated, "It feels really good. I'm mostly trying to focus myself on the playoffs at the moment but I'd be stupid not to notice what I just did. I've been expecting to hit it all season but it feels completely different when you actually do. I'm just hoping some GM's take notice as well." Miller currently sits atop his draft class in practice hours but where he'll go in the draft is anyone's guess. The S39 draft has a mix of new prospects and ones coming in from older agents with the top 4 very much still up in the air. Most mock drafts up to this point have, strangely enough, pointed at Miller going either 1st or 4th overall. Only time will tell.
