Hot start for Sanderson

                         Lenny Sanderson just marked his eighth game of his VHLM career, and it could be said that he's had a pretty good start for someone under 100 TPE. In those eight games, he has three goals, nine shots, and seven hits, showing remarkable maturity for a kid jumping from the USHL to pro. He is currently ranked 25th in the VHL draft rankings according to TPE, and 8th in the VHLM dispersal draft rankings. He is expected to go in the mid second round for the VHL draft, and the late first round for the VHLM.

                    We caught up with Sanderson for a quick interview after his final game.

 

Reporter: Well, you've had a productive stretch recently, Lenny. What's been motivating you?

 

Lenny Sanderson: I think it's just really cool to be in the pros, and Sasky is a great place to be. Lots of great teammates and great management, so I'm having a lot of fun

 

Reporter: You are eligible for two drafts this offseason, which I know is a long time away. How are you preparing?

 

LS: I haven't really given it much thought, since I should be focusing on the season right now. But I know scouts are always watching, so I just give it my all out there

 

Reporter: Who would you compare your game to in the NHL?

 

LS: I love how Brendan Gallagher on the Habs plays, just relentless and never gives an inch. I try to model my game after his.
