Thoughts - Toronto

The season is moving fast and Toronto is performing about where most thought we would. We win a few and lose a few. Nothing really surprising about the season so far. I think the plan is to develop this season and go into the next season with a bit more horsepower. The rookies are playing well for the most part. Adding scoring when the top line eats heavy minutes is a good thing. I am encouraged to see the hard work our core is putting into their players to make them and the team better for the future.

 

At this pace, Toronto should miss the playoffs. Not that it was expected, but you never know what will happen. If we improve the best we can during the rest of the season, I think we could get a shot at making the playoffs but a deep run would be a stretch.

 

Let's see what another week of games brings us. We could go on a run, or we could lose them all. The future is the focus at this point.
