youloser1337 1,122
Mexico City Kings are on a hot streak. In their last 10 they are 9-1-0. They were on a 13 game winning streak after their loss against the Reapers back on game 93. For Justin Lose that Reaper game was a big game. He wanted to go out on the ice and impress everyone against his former team. Game 93 was a 5-1 loss for the Kings. Lose only had an assist but a -2 in that game. We got a reaction after that game in the locker room from Justin Lose himself. "It sucks losing but it hurts even more when you lose to your former team. It was nice to see some familiar faces before the game though. When it came time for the game I guess I lost focus and didn't play to my full potential. I put the loss on myself today." - Justin Lose after Game 93 Loss After that loss, like I stated before, went on their 13 game win streak which included a win against the Reapers in Game 167. This time Lose was in front of fans in Mexico City. Lose finally got that redemption after putting up 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points and a +3. An elated Justin Lose was ready for us in the locker room to share his experience in this gameday win. "Oh man, being in front of our home fans and getting the first star against my former team feels great. This time I only said a few hellos to my former teammates but I was laser focused on the game. I think the results speak for themselves. Getting the scoring started really got my adrenaline going. I knew we were going to win, but the first star? That was the cherry on top." - Justin Lose after Game 167 Win I also reached out for a comment on the win streak that they were on. "We are working as a team every game. We are like a family here. Everyone is contributing in our wins and putting in hard work. All of our lines are clicking too. Life on the second line is great. I'm on pace for a point a game. This is always fun and the best hockey we are putting out so far." - Justin Lose on Win Streak Unfortunately the 13 win streak was broken by a loss to the Houston Bulls 3-2. Lose would be scoreless in that game and had a -2 rating. Fortunately Mexico City is in first in their division with a 10 point lead over the San Diego Marlins and first in the league with a 2 point lead over the Philadelphia Reapers. That win over the Reapers today was a battle for first! The Reapers do have a game in hand and the tie breaker advantage. Mexico City Kings look to rebound off of that loss and keep their #1 position in the standings with their upcoming games against San Diego and Mississauga. Stay tuned for more Kings action coming up!
