Game 221 between the Miami Marauders and the Philadelphia Reapers saw probably the most thrilling and entertaining VHLM games this season has seen thus far. With a total of 13 goals shared between the two teams(7 of which were scored in the first period), there wasn't a dull moment at any point in the match. The game started with a quick goal by Tom Eagles to put Philadelphia in front early. This was followed up by another goal by Philadelphia this time by Darius Marimoto. It seemed as if Miami had dug them self a huge hole until Gasper Zakrevsky found an answer just two minutes later putting the score at 2-1. However Philadelphia were keen on running away with the game as they scored yet another goal 3 minutes later just past the 9 minute mark, then again 4 minutes later at the 13 minute mark. Now with more than half the period gone Philadelphia had already found themselves 3 goals in front and looked to comfortably put this game away. This would not be the case though as Miami stormed back eager to not go down without a fight by finding two late period goals by Cabe McJake and Ryan Ryker to put the score at 4-3 heading into the second period. The game appeared to finally settle down a bit with no goals for about 8 minutes. That until Cabe McJake tallied his second to tie the game at 4 a piece a quarter of the way through the second period. Miami would then find another goal by Phoenix Dawson 3 minutes later scoring a total of 4 unanswered goals to take the lead. Philadelphia had seen enough of this and finally were able to answer  with a goal from Kjell Nilsson to tie the game once again at 5-5. After this both teams gave the fans a chance to breath for once as the game went scoreless for 9 minutes. Then at the start of the 3rd period Philadelphia found enough energy to take the lead back from Miami with a goal from Cailyn Catowize. Unsurprisingly though Miami answered immediately within 2 minutes with another goal from Ryan Ryker. After a full game of open opportunities, bad defense and many goals, both teams appeared to tense up in favor of not letting the game slip away again. The teams would stay stalemated for the entirety of the rest of the third period and the full overtime meaning that this outstanding game would end in a shootout. The first shot would go to Miami as they started of with Peter Louis II who would score to put Miami with the advantage. Next up it was Darius Marimoto for Philadelphia who's shot was stopped by Thadius sales to put Miami up in the first round. The next shooter for Miami was Martin Master who converted on Miami's second attempt to make it 2-0. Now Philadelphia needed to score and up to the task to do so was Pekko Viitanen. Heroically it was Thadius Sales once again coming up clutch to seal the two points for Miami which put an end to the most exciting game from this season up to this point.
