Gotta get this done and I have no idea what to talk about. Gotta be VHL related so I guess I'll just talk about some stuff to do with Hextall as I always do, maybe ponder on some other possible future players as Hextall only has 2 and a half seasons left. Maybe we'll start there? We did have that theme week some time ago where we did have to talk about future players and I think I talked about three different ones? Jonathan Ori is who I want my next player to be, I originally wanted him to be a S79 draftee but with my more recent struggles I might delay my second player, there's still time for things to change and I'd like to think it isn't just burnout or something. Having no NHL I think has been slightly hurting my interest in doing hockey stuff in general. There are other factors than just that but I don't think I need to talk about them here. Again though still a lot of time for this to change between now and the end of Hextall's career. I think we'll have NHL hockey back by then.

 

While I've heard passing isn't a skill that really seems to work it is a skill I want to focus on for Ori. I want him to be a fast and great passer with some focus on goal scoring. May modify it once I actually get around to making the player. in the S90's I want to be back in the goalie game but I also know I'll probably want a break to after Ori. I might take off like 3, 4 or 5 seasons, we'll see. I do have a goal of at least having had a player in each position so it's also possible I might go for a defenseman after Ori, who will be a forward. I'd like him to be a stay at home kind of defenseman but we'll see what the sim engine does with him as I put TPE into him.

 

 As for Hextall, as has been said in other posts I have no plan to move him out of Toronto. The only possibility would be in his last season but I'd say that's still very unlikely. It sucks that he won't have a shot at the hall of fame like his rivals will probably have. He's had three 30 win seasons at 31, 31, and 30 and it's unlikely he'll get 30 this season. He will likely end his career with more total losses than wins which really sucks but it is what it is. I don't blame my GM at all, we've just been really unlucky. I can only imagine how good we would be had all those players remained active. It's very possible my last season will end up being my best, we'll see.

 

Okay well I'm almost at 500 words and I've got by by just talking about my player and future players so that's cool. Thank you guys for reading if you did, probably fairly boring but oh well. Do what ya gotta do for the media spot.
