Sasha Petrov Enters the Draft

 

 

Big news coming from the VHL, as Bulgarian-born superstar Sasha Petrov has declared for the Season 40 VHL draft. Petrov enjoyed time playing for Belye Medvedi in the MHL in Russia. The 18-year old racked up 77 points in 46 games with the Belye Medvedi, which was good enough for 3rd in the league. Even more impressive was that he came first in the league in assists with 57. He was also called up for 10 games to play with Chelyabinsk of the KHL where he had 6 assists in 10 games. The young winger is known for his creativity with the puck and his quick feet. Sasha Petrov has extraordinary vision coming down the wing and makes the people around him better. Some say he has potential to have a long and successful career in the VHL but we’ll have to find out. It will be very interesting to see if Petrov will be able to succeed in the VHL like he has in the MHL.
