Riley Couture has dropped in promise this season, in the previous season when Riley was playing for Halifax 21st, she played 72 games and scored 90 points, that's 1.25 points per game. However, this season as Riley has moved up to the big leagues to play for the Vancouver Wolves, Riley has played 55 games so far where she has only managed to wrack up 18 points. This is around 0.3 points per game. So what went wrong for Riley? The answer is quite simple, during her time at Halifax Riley was a key player, but on Vancouver, she's surrounded by big timers. Because of this Riley has likely been played on one of the back lines, and has been played for fewer minutes than in her previous season. Meaning that although her skills have not waivered, she has not been able to play up to her full potential on this team. That's how the big leagues go.
