Onde Sandstrom and Luke Thornton taking over the S74 draft class this season

Recommended Posts

The Swedish brothers came a long way ever since they got signed in the VHLM with the Las Vegas Aces all the way from Sweden. They both went their separate ways since the VHLM draft, but they both are doing amazing accomplishments in their young careers so far.

Luke Thornton became the captain of the Wranglers in his sophomore season and is expecting to compete for the cup the next two seasons and Onde Sandstrom is rapidly becoming a huge fan favorite alongside Kevin King for the Vancouver Wolves from his tenacious and physical plays on the ice.

They were both barely in the top 10 in the S74 class for stats last year, but this year they are in the top 4 for points this season so far. If you include the all-around game with the hits, blocked shots, the defense then they can be seen as #1 and #2 in the class.

They will probably reach the playoff and have a second-round matchup if it all goes well. This will for sure sell some extra tickets and the family can't decide on who to cheer for. Hopefully, they can become even better so that they can be part of the few Swedish legends there are in the VHL. Maybe even enter the VHL hall of fame as brothers would maybe be a first too. Who knows, one thing is for sure. They will play together again eventually to win something as brothers if the opportunities come for it.
