With the 75th regular season in the books, the London United have made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Last offseason was practically chock-full of bombshell trades for the UK franchise as they acquired top line center Chad Magnum, and defenseman Erik Killinger and Hugh Jass. One player who expected himself to have a massive season was right wing The Terrible Trivium.

Instead, Trivium put up career lows almost across the board. His goal total of 30 is impressive, until you consider that he notched 34 as a rookie. He set career worst numbers in points, penalty minutes, blocked shots, power play goals, and hits, and barely passed career lows in shots and assists, beating those numbers by 5 and 1, respectively.

Now the question is, how does Trivium perform in the playoffs? London's point total of 82 is the lowest of any qualifying team in the league, so clearly there is an uphill battle for the United. It is worth noting that Trivium is scheduled to become a free agent at the end of this season, and one can't help but wonder if London general manager McWolf might consider stepping away from the third year winger. London has tremendous depth both on the roster and in the prospect ranks, and letting Trivium walk as a free agent would free up both a roster spot and some valuable cap space. Perhaps even London management is unsure of what they want to do with the enigmatic sniper, and are waiting to see how he performs in the post-season before deciding his fate.
