The start of season 76 hasn't just been tough for the Legion, but also for Jaxx Hextall. Hextall may just be off to the worst start of his career so far. In 17 games played he has a record of 4 wins, 7 looses and 3 overtime or shootout looses. A .905 save percentage and a 3.67 goals against average, ugly, ugly numbers. They would be worse if it weren't for a good stretch of games he had but overall he's had more bad games. He's been pulled seven times already. Toronto did acquire a proper backup, Sirkants Klamasteris.

Klamasteris has played great in relief, while he's only started in 5 games he's already played a total of 12 games from the amount of times he's come in in relief. having 2 wins, 3 looses and 1 overtime or shootout lose. Supporting .923 save percentage and 3.44 goals against, while the GAA is still rough one could make the argument that he should be the starter right now, and there's no doubt he be in the future.

Not to long ago, Hextall's rival Jacques Lafontaine also spoke about recent struggles as well. Seeing as both of them were struggling, Jaxx does what he does best, he paid him a visit in Vancouver. During none practice hours the two of them headed to a ice rink and did some training together, shared their warm up plans before each game, and took shots at each other despite both of them being goalies. For Lafontaine it's seemed to work but we'll need a bit more time to see if it worked for him as well.
