Claimed:Fan Appreciation Day! [FINAL 6/6]

The forecast was incredible. The sky was super blue and the clouds filled the empty spots in the sky. The temperature was even better, it was approximately thirty four degrees Celsius outside. It was the perfect day to get out and interact with the fans. The morning started off with a nice meet and greet with Pablo Escabar and the Ottawa Lynx at the Lynx hockey arena.  Fans could come and meet all the players on the team and even get pictures with them and autographs. After the players took thousands of pictures with their awesome fans, they all sat in sections of the arena in the seats. This is where the fans would rotate in groups. Each time they went to a different section they could ask the three players at that section any questions they wanted. A lot of the smaller fans questions were mostly " What is your favorite super hero?" or " What is your favorite food?". Once the adult groups started getting around the question got more intense for the Lynx players, like " Can you see yourself being drafted to a VHL team?" or "If not drafted what are you going to do next?". The players had great answers for all the question and never disappointed the fans.

 

After the morning agenda of the amazing fan appreciation day, the fans were invited to a courtesy pizza lunch where the fans got to eat with the players and have some great laughs together. There was enough pizza to feed an army, so no one would be left hungry after lunch. That made the team and players very happy, they never enjoy seeing people hungry.  After everyone was done eating they were given a twenty minute break to go wash up, use the restroom and for the smokers to have a smoke break. When everyone was back, they were all put into groups of six. Two Lynx players would be captains of each group.  The fans were very excited for this next part of the daily agenda. It was a outdoor ball hockey tournament.  The fans had great team work and skill. There was some competition, but there was a lot more of people just out having fun with there favorite players.  In between a few games we got a few words in from defense-man Pablo Escabar and he said " This is what is all about, giving back to our fans is the best feeling in the whole world. They do not know it yet, but we have a huge treat for them!"

 

A treat is definitely what the Ottawa Lynx had planned for their awesome fans. Every single fan that showed up for the entire day of fan appreciation day at the arena was invited back that evening. They were invited back that evening to cheer on their Ottawa Lynx as they took on the Bratislava Watchmen. The fans were through the moon. The Ottawa Lynx spanked the Watchmen 5-1, they put on a great show for everyone. Pablo Escabar came out with one goal and four assists, when he was awarded first star he thanked all the fans for their support. Then he told them that he was very excited to see them all again for the next fan appreciation day.

Content: 3/3 - Gotta love giving back to the fans. I enjoyed the article, thought it was a good concept.

 

Grammar: 2/2 - The main thing I noticed was some oddness with quotation marks. There doesn't need to be a space after the mark to start a quote, but there does after the mark to end a quote. (And all punctuation should be inside the quotation mark.)

 

better, it was = better; it was (a few of these, just try to avoid run-on sentences)

all the question = all the questions

a outdoor = an outdoor

there favorite players = their favorite players

 

Presentation: 1/1 - Good by me, even if the font changes kind of confused me.
