DollarAndADream 3,356 Posted May 2, 2015 Share Posted May 2, 2015 D - Vojczek Svoboda - 1st Overall ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Svoboda was a highly coveted offensive-minded defender who's final season in the VHLM was with the Turku Outlaws. On that squad, he broke multiple records, and had 127 points in his 72 game season. This alone was an astounding feat that he reached and along with that he had one of the better player agencies known to VHL hockey. In his rookie season with the Helsinki Titans, he posted 80 points in 72 games on that rebuilding team. He was second among rookies behind Stolzschweiger Trophy winner Travis Boychuk. In Season 39, he had the most points on Helsinki again, but this time with a less impressive 62. All rebuilding teams have their struggles though, and that season almost the whole team was a negative in plus/minus, with the core having at least a -26 or more. Following up that was a sudden retirement from VHL action. Vojczek was quickly starting to become one of the best defensemen in the league, and from one of the most dedicated player agencies. A sad day for the league, that's for sure. RW - Bruno Wolf - 2nd Overall ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------ Now we look into the infamous Bruno Wolf, S37's VHLM Top Two-Way Forward. Coming from one of the cockiest player agencies but one of the more dedicated, this player has an ego on his shoulders like no other, at least according to the media. A look into the locker room would suggest that he isn't so bad. Bruno's rookie season was definitely not one that shines in any regard, but he posted 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points in 72 games in his rookie season with the Seattle Bears. In S39, his numbers improved with Seattle where he earned 57 points, and scored more than double what he did in the previous season with 34 goals. Most of his statistic categories at least doubled, including hits which jumped from 93 to 229, giving him a dangerous, physical side to his game. It was after that season where he moved on to the Quebec City Meute, and where he continued to grow into one of the most dominant players in the VHL today. Over in Quebec City, he found a new line mate in Aksel Thomassen who helped take his game to another level. S40 saw Wolf hit a new milestone with 81 points, finally hitting that point-per-game level that he was hoping for, including 40 goals. The following season he improved even more so to a level that nobody expected but maybe himself, which was the achievement of 62 goals and 123 points, winning both the Kevin Brooks and Scott Boulet trophies. The next season in 42, he then won three trophies for the regular season as the league's most outstanding, best two-way, and leading goal scorer. Bruno Wolf has slowly become one of the best players in the VHL today, and resembles a game similar to that of NHLer Alex Ovechkin. The one thing he hopes for next is a Continental Cup.
