It is pretty simple to look back at the Season 41 Entry Draft and talk about Mikaelson, especially after the ending of last season. Stepping into the VHL, Mikaelson won the award in the VHLM as the top goaltender that season in Season 40. He was already looking good before he hit the big league. Coming into the league as a 1st Round selection of the Seattle Bears, things were tough on Niklaus. In Season 41, he was 12-47-7 and carried a save percentage of .913% with a goals against average of 3.69 and had 2 shutouts. Considering that Seattle was coming out of a rebuild, those were great numbers for a rookie and things were looking up for the Bears with Mikaelson in net. In Season 42, Seattle completely turned it around and Niklaus' record reflected that. He went 30-28-6 with a save percentage of .918 and a 2.64GAA along with 5 shutouts. All of his statistics improved and the Bears did as well. Then onto last season in Season 43, the Bears got into the playoffs as the third seeded team in the North American Conference. Niklaus Mikaelson went 37-19-8 with a SV% of .922 and a GAA of 2.03 with 3 shutouts. He carried his team into the playoffs and they surged through the post-season, upsetting the Quebec City Meute and the Cologne Express, winning the Continental Cup. Mikaelson was just as stellar through those 16 games. In the off-season, he was recently traded over to the Quebec City Meute, who are hoping to utilize Mikaelson and make another run at the cup. It will be interesting to see how Niklaus does in a new environment where he does not have such a big weight to carry.

Jack Kowalski is a player that came into a newly rebuilding Stockholm Vikings squad at 2nd overall, who have been building their team into one of the best of today. Kowalski had 43 points in Season 41 along with 6 goals. Although, on an up and coming team going through development, he was a -46. In Season 42, Jack's game improved and he bumped his numbers up to 77 points with 8 goals to go along with 69 assists. As the Vikings were getting better, Kowalski cut his plus/minus in half with -24 this time around, and Stockholm was quickly turning competitive. In Season 43 last season, Jack Kowalski set a goal milestone with 11, and managed to put up 64 points on a well balanced Vikings squad. He was a +46 this time around with 242 hits and 69 blocked shots. They were one of the favourites to win the cup, but fell short to the Cologne Express in 5 games. This off-season Jack Kowalski was traded to the Toronto Legion, and so far has amassed 12 hits in 3 games, along with 2 assists. Kowalski this season will be one of the Legion's best defensemen.

Gifford Shock, the Dynamo's 3rd overall pick in Season 41 has quickly become one of HC Davos' premiere players. Stepping into the VHL was not such a difficult task for Gifford in Season 41, as he produced 29 goals and 58 points. Davos was one of the league's lower ranked teams at the time though, which impacted his plus/minus at a -40. The next season, being Season 42, Gifford put up 31 goals and 68 points, improving in both the assists and goals categories. This time around, he was a +10 on a better squad and had 322 shots. Davos missed the playoffs by 5 points that season. In Season 43, Shock improved on his milestones once again putting up 32 goals and 44 assists for 76 points. He had 404 shots as well. In the post-season, he had 4 points as the Dynamo were outed by the Cologne Express in 6 games. So far in Season 44, Gifford Shock has 5 points in 4 games.
