NAME: Kristoffer Ruud Birthplace: Stockholm, Sweden Player Type: Enforcer Position: Right Wing Jersey Number: 37 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If no one knew who Kristoffer Ruud was, for sure they will find out when he finally gets drafted into the VHL. Standing at a height of 6 foot 8 and 250 pounds to go with the height the dude is just a giant on skates waiting to destroy anyone who skates in his path. He has a tendency to stay out late with friends and not be on time for curfew, he is a very inconsistent player but gets the job done when asked by coaching staff. There was a myth flying around that he once bashed a player in the face but nothing surfaced, only media and rumors. He was suspended from high school hockey due to the undisciplined hockey style. He just keeps taking penalties after penalties, fights and fights. He is a very very great locker room guy. Lovable by teammates, but once he steps out on the ice he has targets on everyone's heads. Sometimes even his teammates "by accident". His reputation around leagues and cities isn't very good as he usually uses his size to his advantage always going to bars and getting into bar fights, always vandalizing other peoples property. He was got fined for trying to steal someones car. He said that the voices told him to do it. This is one scary dude. STRENGTHS Checking- Ruud is and will be a phenomenal checker with that 6 foot 8 frame and being 250 pounds his hits aren't just hard they are devastating to each and every player on the ice. Fighting- One of Ruud's favorite thing to do it fight, he fights almost, if not every, game. He is able to get under the superstars skin and throw him off his game. Then he forces them to take a five minute major penalty. Strength- There isn't a day where Ruud isn't exercising some kind of strength, his favorite thing to do is either curl, dead lift or bench press. He is known for also working out in public by lifting people up over his head and throwing them. Defense- Surprisingly Ruud knows how to play an okay defensive game, it is one of his strength's because it's better than the neutral skills he has. He can easily be put on a defensive role if needed. WEAKNESSES Scoring- Ruud is not known for his scoring, actually it is one of his biggest weaknesses. He did score one goal and it was in the playoffs to clinch his team the title. Puckhandling- This guy isn't known for his amazing puckhandling skills, they are rather horrible actually, he can manage to skate up the ice with the puck but he cannot pull a move or two. Passing- Ruud isn't a great passer either. He really doesn't know how to create plays such as a playmaker, but he can get one or two assist a season. Skating- Put this guy in front of a net and he may get a goal or two. But don't rely on him to skate with speed back and forth the rink. He isn't BAD but he isn't good. If you don't know who Kristoffer Ruud is, well get ready VHL. This seventeen year old kid standing at a whooping height of 6 foot 8 weighing in at 250 pounds is one tough kid. He was ultimately forced to play hockey as a 4 year old. At that time he was bullied and was pushed around by the other Swedish kids. But now Ruud is finally leaving Sweden and it's hockey camps to come to the VHL where he knows that the future will be way brighter than where he was. Ruud submitted his application to enter the minor league draft in the upcoming off season. After already been confirmed by league commissioners and owners, the giant beast bought a plane ticket and now is on the way. He promised to bring his family with him when he finally starts making money when he gets drafted. The Swedish Giant, nickname which was put on him in highschool, ultimately decided to drop out of highschool and go right into hockey. He knows that enforcers do not get paid much and don't get much minutes as they sometimes end up as 4th or 3rd liners, but he is willing to do anything to play the game of hockey that he grew up loving. Before getting on the plane some reporters asked him," When you do get drafted in the VHL what are your goals" He replied," I am lookink forward tew finally get out on ice and play, my goals I have none yet but I will get back to yew." His English isn't very great but you can pick sense to it. He already has a bad rep in highschool hockey in Sweden due to the Line Brawl he caused when a player was skating by and he just slashed him in the face with a hockey stick. Ruud was fined and suspended from Highschool hockey for 4 months. He then told the ref he looked at me the wrong way. Which the ref then replied, grow up. This angered Ruud who then tried to jump the ref but was stopped 3 of his teammates. Ruud, pronounced as rude, also received another nickname from other teams which was Big Bad Ruud. This Ruud found funny and always joked about it to other players on the ice when he was in a good mood. Ruud's career numbers in Hockey wasn't as great as a Sniper of course but he did help bring home the highschool academy championship by scoring the only goal of his playoff career. He is just there to be a goon, which he loves being, and to start some fights when his team in down and needs a boost.
