FRIENDS, ROMANS, COUNTRYMEN, Lend me your ears! I come to you all I'm this moment in full and open honesty. I am the arsonist. And I have a proposal for all good men to hear! But first, my will: N1: ADV N2: clean myself - was doused by rory n1 N3: Doom N4: Ricer, doused Adrest when he attacked me So as you can see, the players currently doused are ADV, Doom, Ricer, ADrest. I was pushing for woog because he isn't doused and I was worried I wouldn't be able to douse him. No witch has visited me, so no witch is doused. We have a chance to make VHL history. No arsonist has ever won a game here. Let's work together to make this the first one ever. Let me ignite tonight and take out the SKs, mafia, and possibly the vet. Then tomorrow there is only 1 more person to vote out and then all survivors, witches, and arsonists win together. This is both the fastest way to win, AND the safest. It removes the possibility of SK or mafia killing a witch or survivor tonight, or a witch accidentally dieing to vet. If a witch or survivor die, they lose even if the other witch/survivor wins. The SK/GF don't have other good targets because everyone else has defense. @Spartan @Lemorse7 @BarzalGoat @jacobcarson877, you 4 hold the keys of victory to this game. Please hear my cause before you finalize your choice. Let me ignite tonight. We can guarantee all survivors and witches can win without losing anyone. It allows the game to resolve faster. And it allows us to create VHL TOS history.

I'm busy at work so I'm a little behind, but I want to quickly say I never claimed vet. Also people need to stop editing their posts. Like wtf.

My main thought was because witches were controlling SK, but maybe the SK didn't mind? SK can't kill arso or GF though, and survivor/vet are bad targets. But SK can win with witches. So I'm not sure tbh what SK would or should do.

I'd rather you guys send woog somewhere else and me somewhere else so that I don't get doused in case SK or maf kills a witch tonight and we can't stop arso tomorrow

And that concludes the second game of Town of Pallet! With a slight delay at the end there of course… for which I'd like to apologize to all the players for, and thank each of you for playing! Ultimately I think I would have to consider ToP somewhat of a bust. The biggest barrier was the heavy mod requirements to run the game. I knew this going into it and wanted to keep things simple enough not to be too stressful on the moderators, but ultimately I couldn't help myself when it came to adding new and interesting game mechanics that compounded the time requirements for the moderators. The other big issue with the game was the predictable battle system. While this was nice for people who wanted to optimize all of their game decisions, it also made battle planning more tedious to do so. I tried adding items and extra fighting moves to increase the randomness, but this didnt actually fix the problem and also led to frustrating situations such as multiple low probability losses to NPCs. These two shortcomings were a cancer that ended up being fatal for the game. I've thought of some ways to revamp the battle system and make it simpler, but I don't really feel like it makes it better. I have no idea how to fix the heavy mod requirements. So I don't anticipate running any more ToP games. That said, I can still see many positives in making and running these games! - Met a lot of great people and got to better know some that I only sort of knew before. - Was nominated for an Elmebeck! - Learned more about VHL in general. In fact before I used to think the G in BoG under Gustav's name stood for Gustav. Like I thought he was being goofy and gave himself the title Board of Gustav - Learned a lot about game designing - Learned A LOT about Excel/Google Sheets and made an epic spreadsheet - Learned a lot about Pokemon (ok this one is probably useless) - Learned a little about how to run a Discord channel - Made a crazy rulebook that I can be proud of (but also learned how to better organize and write a rulebook) - Was a feature in some podcasts (my real name is Tyrell btw. I added a silent P for no reason) - Had lots of fun watching people enjoy playing something I've created. So a big THANK YOU again to each of you that played! @omgitshim @JardyB10 @Gustav @OrbitingDeath @McWolf @Doomsday @dlamb @Spartan @ctots @Lemorse7 @Ricer13 @Alex @Enorama @rory I might try and make another new game in the future. While ToS will likely continue to bring me back to VHL, ToP showed me that there is also a desire out there for a forum game that isn't a social deduction game. Next is Nurse Joy @Alex VS Gary Oak @McWolf! Gary starts things off with Victreebel! Victreebel uses Knock Off to get rid of any pesky items that could interfere! But Nurse Joy's Steelix isn't holding anything! Steelix uses Earthquake and takes Victreebel to 135 HP. Victreebel uses Leaf Blade...

Next is Prof Birch @omgitshim VS Worker @OrbitingDeath ! Worker seems somewhat under the weather as the suppresses another coughing fit. Meanwhile Prof Birch is busy giving all his pokemon very detailed instructions and hands each of them a focus sash... Charizard opens things up with a Fire Blast against Worker's Elekid! Elekid hangs on thanks to Focus Sash! Elekid uses Destiny Bond?!? Charizard uses another fire blast..

Next is Jessie @JardyB10 VS Nurse Joy @ctots! Jardy sends out Magnezone who is almost equal in level to ctots' Dubwool, Weezing, and Hawlucha combined! And to make a short story even shorter, Magnezone uses Zap Cannon and takes out all 3 opponents and still has easily over half HP remaining! @JardyB10 is the winner!

Alright time to pump out some more matchups! First we've got Bird Keeper @Lemorse7 vs Prof Oak @Spartan ! Lemorse opens things up with Suicune Hydro Pump! Spartan uses Machamp, who takes a punch and strikes back with Knock Off before falling to another Hydro Pump. Spartan sends out Gyarados next! This proves to be more of a match for Suicune... But Suicune still takes out Gyarados with 28 HP remaining! Finally Spartan reaches in his back pocket and finds his own legendary! Zapdos! Can Zapdos run the table like Suicune almost did? Lemorse sends out Jolteon... Jolteon's Thunder still does a fair amount of damage due to Zapdos' Flying type! After 2 hits, Zapdos goes down! @Lemorse7 is the winner!

Round 2 starts with an all random match! Bill @Dom Growlithe lv 28 holding Oran berry Lapras lv 27 Pupitar lv 32 VS Professor Elm @dlamb Lapras lv 29 Weavile lv 22 Sneasel lv 30 holding Oran berry Elm's Lapras opens things up by 1 shotting Growlithe with Hydro Pump! Growlithe didn't even get to eat the delicious berry it was randomly given! Bill sends out his own Lapras to counter. The 2 non-squirtle water turtles go blow for blow! Eventually Elm's Lapras who struck first gets the victory Elm sends out Weavile next, whose Dark Pulse finishes Lapras! Bill down to his last pokemon... Pupitar! With a 10 level advantage! Pupitar opens with Crunch.. not very effective! Weavile's Ice Beam however does massive damage! Pupitar uses Earthquake...

Next up is another potentially close matchup! Bird Keeper @Lemorse7 VS Nurse Joy @Alex! VS Bird Keeper sends out Jolteon to lead and Nurse Joy sends out Steelix! Steelix leads off with Earthquake.. Super Effective and gets STAB! Seems well worth the mini-TM cost. Jolteon responds with Thunder.. It has no effect! This will be tough to recover from! Another Earthquake and Jolteon goes down. Next Bird Keeper sends out...

Welcome to the first match of the Final Tournament! And to start things off, we have one hell of a match between two of the top trainers! Burglar @Gustav VS Jessie @JardyB10 ! VS Jessie leads off with Blastoise lv 58 holding Quick Claw! Burglar leads off with Flareon lv 61.75 also holding Quick Claw! So the higher level Flareon gets the first move! However this isn't the type matchup it was hoping for... Flareon opens things up with Double-Edge! It does quite a bit of damage, but also takes 41 damage itself.. Blastoise retaliates with Hydro Pump...

Alright I've noticed something very strange... When I look on the computer, the lines from google docs copied correctly for the battle matchups. When I look on mobile, the lines did NOT copy correctly. I have no idea why it would matter? Or maybe because one is regular mode and one is dark mode? Either way, I'm clearly not the only one seeing this as people have submitted different things for their matchups.
