Following a heartbreaking playoff exit at the hands of the Halifax 21st, C.J. Daniels is now left reflecting on his future in the VHL and evaluating his options heading into the offseason. Widely regarded as one of the top five prospects in his draft class, Daniels leads his peers in both goals and total points. He also notched an impressive six hat tricks this season and recorded more shot attempts than any other forward in the league. Daniels has already held preliminary discussions with HC Davos Dynamo General Manager Alex regarding his potential fit with the organization. While the conversations were largely positive, they were not without tension, as Daniels’ outspoken attitude toward the front office added a layer of complexity to the dialogue. Still, there is no question about the talent and potential he brings to the table—he would be a natural addition to an already skilled Dynamo roster. Despite the promising outlook, Daniels remains hesitant. His primary concern lies in the uncertainty of the business side of hockey—specifically, the possibility of being unexpectedly traded. While his offensive abilities are undeniable, the lingering question is whether he can pair his elite skillset with the discipline and consistency required to thrive at the professional level?

As the season wraps up, the Saskatoon Wild find themselves in the familiar role of underdogs, gearing up for what could be a thrilling postseason run. While the offense has stepped up admirably, the defense is still grappling with the fast-paced style of play that defines the team. In a standout performance, C.J Daniels has not only surpassed the 100-point milestone but has also emerged as the leading scorer in the VHLM. Along with that, he’s secured a spot among the top ten in assists for the season. This year has been nothing short of monumental for C.J and the Wild, as he has doubled his goals, assists, and overall points. The hard work C.J put in during the off-season is clearly paying off, and now the Wild are set for their first-round match-up against the Halifax 21st. Unfortunately, they would get swept, thanks to Halifax’s defense in the first two lines. Though C.J's time in the VHLM is coming to a close, a new chapter in his VHL career is just beginning.

1. I prefer to be apart of smaller draft classes, so I can be noticed. 2. My former player, P.J Daniels. He didn't get his storybook ending. 3. My player is obnoxious when he comes to pets, so no. Ask 1. What's one theory you're willing to stick with for the rest of your life? 2. Are you a first-generation player, second-generation or third-generation player? 3. What times does your VHL player wake up in the morning?

The C.J. Daniels train continues to roll, as he reclaims his spot atop the VHLM as the league’s leading goal scorer. Earlier in the season, Daniels experienced a dip in production, shifting his focus toward facilitating offense and evolving into a more pass-first player in preparation for his transition to the VHL. But make no mistake—he’s still a natural scorer, and he proved it in dominant fashion. In a standout performance against one of the league’s top teams, Daniels tallied four goals and an assist, filling up the stat sheet and leaving scouts thoroughly impressed. With over 40 goals and 40 assists, he’s on pace to surpass the 100-point mark—an elite benchmark for any forward at this level. Daniels, alongside Captain Nugget Jr. and Lorenzo Mancini, has formed one of the most potent offensive trios the Saskatoon Wild have seen in recent memory. The chemistry among the three is evident—they’ve learned to read each other effortlessly, contribute in transition, and glide through defenders with precision. The C.J. Daniels experiment is very much alive and thriving. But the question remains—how long can this train keep running before it reaches its final destination?

1. Where were you when Alex Ovechkin broke the all-time record for the most NHL goals scored? 2. What's the worst purchase you've ever made? 3. What's the most important position in the VHL/VHLM today?

In the span of just 24 hours, C.J. Daniels’ career took an unexpected turn, as he was traded from the Seattle Bears to the HC Davos Dynamo. Initially, Daniels had been promised a spot with the Bears by their general manager, Bana, but the promise was quickly rescinded when the organization decided to trade him for the “betterment” of the team. The whirlwind continued as Daniels was subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Stars, though the team lacked a clear plan for utilizing his skills. After a brief stint with the Stars, Daniels was traded once again, this time to the Malmö Nighthawks in exchange for second- and third-round picks. Unfortunately, his time with the Nighthawks was marked by tension and disagreements regarding his role on the team. In a final twist, Daniels was traded to the HC Davos Dynamo, where the team made a commitment not to trade him further, despite their attempts to convince him to unretire. At this stage in his career, C.J. Daniels has one remaining goal: to play for the Chicago Phoenix, the team where his brother built his legacy in the VHL. With everything now in the hands of fate, Daniels faces an uncertain future as he seeks to make his mark in the league once more.
