In the span of just 24 hours, C.J. Daniels’ career took an unexpected turn, as he was traded from the Seattle Bears to the HC Davos Dynamo. Initially, Daniels had been promised a spot with the Bears by their general manager, Bana, but the promise was quickly rescinded when the organization decided to trade him for the “betterment” of the team. The whirlwind continued as Daniels was subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Stars, though the team lacked a clear plan for utilizing his skills. After a brief stint with the Stars, Daniels was traded once again, this time to the Malmö Nighthawks in exchange for second- and third-round picks. Unfortunately, his time with the Nighthawks was marked by tension and disagreements regarding his role on the team. In a final twist, Daniels was traded to the HC Davos Dynamo, where the team made a commitment not to trade him further, despite their attempts to convince him to unretire. At this stage in his career, C.J. Daniels has one remaining goal: to play for the Chicago Phoenix, the team where his brother built his legacy in the VHL. With everything now in the hands of fate, Daniels faces an uncertain future as he seeks to make his mark in the league once more.

C.J. Daniels is carefully considering his future with the VHL, after being traded four times in the span of 48 hours. Daniels prides himself on doing whatever it takes to help his team secure victory. Despite already establishing himself as an elite forward at just 19 years old, he remains open to adjusting his position for the betterment of the team. The Toronto Legion pose the biggest threat to the Bears’ throne, with an impressive regular-season record that continues to climb. Between Toronto and the Seattle Bears, five teams are also vying for supremacy, all eager to bring glory back to their franchises. Coaches have spoken with Daniels about potential roles within their line-ups, but....C.J Daniels isn't having it. He's heavily considering retirement after the events that took place throughout the weekend. His brother, P.J. Daniels, previously played for the Chicago Phoenix, retiring after an illustrious nine-season career. C.J. is determined to continue the Daniels family legacy in the VHL, and he’s focused on ensuring that his next move puts him in the best possible position, both for his personal growth and the future of his family.

The Saskatoon Wild find themselves in the middle of the pack, having scored 74 goals this season—second only to the top-seeded Philadelphia Reapers. While the competition in the VHLM has ramped up, with teams like the Houston Bulls, Mexico City Kings, and Halifax 21st enjoying standout seasons, the Wild are struggling defensively. They sit in the bottom three for goals conceded, which has kept them from joining the ranks of the league’s elite teams. For C.J. Daniels, this defensive weakness is a significant concern. Having trained as a defensive-forward alongside his brother, P.J. Daniels, C.J. is well aware of the importance of solid defence. However, he’s been making his mark offensively, leading the VHLM with 21 goals and 41 points, the most goal contributions by any player in 24 games. After believing he was ready for the league last season, the Seattle Bears front office decided to send him back to the VHLM for further development. Now, hitting his prime, C.J. has no plans of slowing down.

The Saskatoon Wild are firing on all cylinders in the VHLM this season, currently tied for first place with an impressive 8-2 record after their first ten games. The team’s offensive depth has been nothing short of spectacular, while the defense, anchored by the formidable duo of Cunningham and Barbre, has held firm when needed. With a combined total of 40 goals in just 11 games, the Wild’s offense is firing on all fronts. Key players like Franklin, Egor, Lorenzo, and Nugget Jr. have all made significant contributions, solidifying the team's attack as one of the most potent in the league. However, the standout performer of the season thus far has undoubtedly been C.J. Daniels. Daniels has been a revelation for the Wild, currently leading the VHLM in both goals (12) and points (24) through 11 games. Averaging 2.18 goal contributions per game, his ability to consistently produce offensively has made him a game-changer for the Wild. His recent performance in a 6-2 victory over the Marauders exemplified his playmaking ability, as he contributed a goal and an assist in the win. Following the game, Daniels expressed satisfaction with his role in the team’s success, noting, “If I can push this team to its limit, I’ve done my job as an experienced player on this roster.” His leadership on and off the ice has been a driving force behind the team’s offensive surge, and with the Wild's balanced attack and defensive stability, this season could go down as one of the best in franchise history. As the season progresses, the Saskatoon Wild will look to maintain their dominant form, with C.J. Daniels continuing to lead the charge toward a potential championship run.

Despite the disappointing news of C.J. Daniels' return to the VHLM, there is a bright highlight: he helped lead Team Europe to a gold medal in the World Junior Championship. The team triumphed over Team Canada in an exhilarating overtime shootout, securing the most prestigious medal in international junior hockey. The victory was met with immense celebration, as the gold medal was proudly brought back to Europe, where it truly belongs. The team wasted no time celebrating their historic achievement, revelling in the win with festivities that lasted well into the night. However, the following day brought a return to reality for Daniels, who had to head back to America to prepare for the upcoming season. While he is eager to take the next step in his career, Daniels remains focused on fulfilling his promise to bring a championship to the Wild. Last season, the team fell short in the second round of the playoffs, despite defeating the top team in the VHLM. This year, however, they enter the season without the underdog status they once held. The Wild understand the target is now on their backs, and if they are to claim the Founder's Cup, they will need to give their best effort every step of the way.
